ENCANA DEEP PANUKE E&T R&D FUND

CALL FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROPOSALS 2009

Letter of Intent (LOI) submissions to the Deep Panuke Fund Call 1 on Engineering closed on 08 January 2010.  A total of 26 LOIs were received and full proposals are now being accepted from qualifying proponents. 

Encana Corporation is developing the Deep Panuke project located offshore Nova Scotia. Encana has committed to fund research and development (R&D), education and training (E&T) in support of the development of Nova Scotia’s offshore resources. See www.encana.com/deeppanuke

Encana has partnered with Petroleum Research Atlantic Canada (PRAC) to assist in managing the Deep Panuke E&T and R&D Fund (the Fund), particularly the R&D aspect.

PRAC is an industry-led not-for-profit organization that funds and facilitates collaborative R&D to support the safe and environmentally-sound development of Atlantic Canada’s petroleum resources.

Application Forms

Please download, complete and return the appropriate application form(s) to deeppanukefund@pr-ac.ca .  The Full Form is for PRAC-only projects. The Short Form is designed for PRAC-NSERC joint proposals and must be submitted to PRAC with NSERC Forms 100 and 101.

  • Print must be in black ink and of letter quality.
  • If you use a type size measured in points, it must be no smaller than 12pts.
  • Use white paper 8 1/2 x 11 inches (21.5cm x 28cm).
  • Set margins at 3/4 of an inch (1.7cm) all around.
  • Full proposals should not exceed 15 pages excluding appendices.
  • Please submit the full proposal in electronic form by end of business day on the deadline date; AND submit one hard copy with original signatures to the PRAC Halifax office.

Please do not use the NSERC electronic send button for Forms 100 and 101. Instructions for completing NSERC forms 101 and 100 are located on the NSERC website. 

N.B. All applicants must have submitted a Letter of Intent by end of day, Friday, January 8th, 2010 and have been invited to submit a full proposal.

Funding

Funding available for the Call under the theme of Engineering is $600,000 over three years, or $200,000 per year from 2010 to 2012. While no maximum value has been assigned to a proposal, it is anticipated that more than one proposal will be funded under this Call.
