Board of Directors

Composition & Terms

A maximum of nine (9) members form the Board of Directors, excluding ex-officio members. Members are not remunerated and the majority must come from industry.

The Chair and Vice-Chair are not normally residents of the same province. While our member organizations must operate within the boundaries of Atlantic Canada, board members do not have to reside in the region.

Board members are elected for two-year terms, except for the existing Board, whose terms were staggered to achieve 50% turnover per year. PRAC's outgoing Chair becomes an ex-officio member for one term unless re-elected.

Elected representatives from PRAC's diverse membership provide policy and governance advice to the organization, and also appoints its president.
